Remove the Paid Station Approach Car Park and Plant Trees

Remove the station approach car park on De Normanville Avenue and replace it with trees or similar. Reasoning explained in the more about section.

Thank you for considering this petition.

Why the car park is a bad thing:

-I live at Murdoch Court and have a view of the car park. The paid area of the car park has literally 0 cars most of the time, sometimes 1-2 on a 'busy' day. The car park has space for 75+ cars and is simply not used. There are enough large car parks near the station for this not to be needed. The train station car park is even undergoing work currently and still no cars park here.

- It looks ugly.

- Encourages driving, which contributes to climate change and reduces air quality.

- No noise barrier between the station and the residents on De Normanville Avenue.

Why plant trees instead:

- Improve air quality and aid the fight against climate change by not encouraging even more cars.

- The area will look significantly nicer, and sends the right message to visitors of Leamington Spa and Warwickshire.

- Less noise from the trains for residents of De Normanville Avenue and the surrounding area. From someone who lives on this road, the trains are loud!
